Contact sheets, 2010.

I miss having access to a colour dark room so much. Shooting colour film just doesn’t seem to be worth it if I can’t make my own prints.

The only surviving photo of my parents together.
It spent eleven years in our basement, which is prone to floods.

So ok, maybe I am not that good at standing still.

So this turned out pretty nice! Though standing very still was my primary contribution.

Painting by Joseph Pfeiffer-Herbert, drawing by Sonera Angel, photograph mine.
From that getting-other-people-to-represent-me thing I started and never really finished.

‘au·to/graph’, at CCAS Manuka, Canberra, 2012.

From Exhibitions

I sort of hate exhibitions. They bring out all of my worst insecurities about my work,  and I generally just want to hide all the evidence once they’re over with.

So I guess that’s why out of eight works I put in this show, I only took pictures of three.

Sigh.

My installation for the grad show, which took approximately sixteen hours, and of which I took no pictures.

None. Zero.

All that’s left are photos other people took on their phones.

Past-me is kind of dumb.

Sure would be nice if you could go take a look. (And then point out all the bugs for me. I wrote the code myself, and as we have just demonstrated, I am terrible at writing code). It’s running through tumblr, too.

Sketches of me (made from photographs) by Rob Sullivan. The final paintings are lovely too, but there’s something so appealingly mechanical about the grid-transfer in the sketches.

He has a whole solo show of paintings of me coming up this July, in Boston. Pretty surreal, we’ve never even met. And I’m not going to be there. Basically feels imaginary.
